Little Living Stones
A Note to Parents and Teachers
The Church of God is Christ's beautiful family, and your child is part of it. First Peter 2:5 says believers are "lively stones" built up into a spiritual house. Every child is a living stone, a jewel and a helper in God's house, and God is making His Church beautiful through the love, obedience, kindness and faith of even the smallest members. This devotional gives your child one short Word-based lesson every day of 2027, on the real issues of a child's life: friends, school, fear, family, anger, sharing, thankfulness and more. Each day has a title, a key scripture, a short teaching, a Prophetic Declaration to speak aloud, further study, and a 1-year and a 2-year Bible reading plan. Read it together at breakfast or bedtime, let your child say the declaration out loud, and help them do the small mission at the end of each lesson. Younger children can listen as you read; older children can read it alone. This is an independent devotional written in the spirit of the daily Word-based devotional tradition. It is not an official publication of any church or ministry. Scripture quotations are from the King James Version (public domain). By Dr. Chris Gilbert, Ph.D. & Dr. (Mrs.) Mercy Gilbert, Ph.D.
